In a rush to leave the world better than I came into it I do find myself caught up in work and losing track of time. In those moments there is one thing I always wish for more of–time.
I wish for more time when a paper is due, when a deadline looms ever close, and like so many others I will probably end up hoping for more time while on my deathbed. What if time wasn’t a factor?
What if we taught ourselves, our children, and our children’s children that time is something you make.
It all starts with an idea
Take a moment today to look how far you’ve come and reflect on the people around you. Living with a goal is like climbing a mountain. We target out goal and work so hard to reach and accomplish that goal, but time waits for no man. There is no telling what tomorrow holds. Make the time today to take a second and stop walking up the mountain. Stand where you are and look back down. See how far you’ve come. Admire who is around you. Appreciate the path and embrace the moment with love, reflection, and clarity.
Perhaps one day someone will create a time machine so we can stop, rewind, and fast-forward time. Lets not wait on that day. Take a moment today to create time to appreciate whats around you. Guarantee that finding that happiness and worth will be fuel to move forwards faster and more healthily.
To brighter days and better futures. Cheers
